In Hawaiian, Kahu means guardian.

A protector, a caretaker, someone who shows up for those who depend on them. That's exactly what we're trying to be for all dog. My name is Andy, founder of Kahu Elements and this company started because of my dogs, Cora and Elsie.

Cora & Elsie

Cora is a corgi mix — and if you've ever owned a herding dog, you know that instinct doesn't turn off at home. She had energy that needed somewhere to go. So I built her the Herding Buddy, designed specifically to give her something she could push, chase and control the way her instincts were telling her to. Two years later, she's still playing with it.

Then there's Elsie, my chocolate lab and an aggressive chewer. The kind of dog who goes through toys like they're made of paper. I watched her destroy everything I bought her. That search led me to eTPU, the same material used in performance running shoes, and the Indestructi-Ball was born. Elsie still hasn't destroyed one. She's lost a few, but never managed to destroy one.

Every product at Kahu Elements starts the same way. A problem I noticed in my own dogs and refused to ignore. It goes deeper than just play. Mental stimulation and physical outlets aren't extras — they're what keeps dogs balanced, calm and happy. A dog with nowhere to put that energy isn't just restless, they’re suffering in their own way. That's what the toys solve.

But mental health is only part of it. With all the running and herding, Cora and Elsie needed better physical support too. That's how the K9 HydroLyte Tabs for Dogs came to be. Because hydration, recovery and the right nutrition aren't afterthoughts. They're what adds years to a dog's life.

From mental wellness to physical health, everything we build at Kahu Elements is built around one goal: to help you give your dog the longest, fullest life possible.

I'm not a vet or a trainer. I'm just a guy who loves his dogs and refuses to settle for anything less.
